 
Marti BaileyOriginally from the Midwest, Marti
studied Commercial Art at Northeast Missouri State College. She has
painted and been involved in the arts all her life and through the
years between college and raising a family, she has continued her
interests by attending workshops, seminars, and art classes.
In 1982, her work was featured on the cover of the "South Texas
Arabian Horse Club Magazine". In 1992, she began successfully
showing her work in local and regional competitions and has won
numerous awards and taken many first place rankings while competing
in the 'Advanced' and 'Professional' categories. In 1996, Marti won
the "Artist's Magazine" Award in juried competition in North Texas.
Marty's work is featured in the national publication, "Art
Business News" March 2002.
Further, she has been invited to show her work in New York City
this spring. Limner Gallery is hosting a "Spring Salon 2003" show
April 12 - May 3.
Her medium of choice is oil, but she also enjoys working in
pastels and watercolor. Marti currently lives in the Fort Worth area
and is active in the art community. Marti is a member of OPA (Oil
Painters of America), ASOPA ( American Society of Portrait Artists)
and, locally, the WCAA (Wise County Art Association).
Marti is represented by Thurburn Gallery, Inc. in Fort Worth and
by Coupralux, LC Gallery and Printing in Dallas, Pamela's Gallery,
Bridgeport, Texas, and Bowie's Framing and Art in Ft. Worth, Texas.
