SacredPlay Nature Tours specializes in women-only wilderness expeditions designed to let you relax. Our tour guides will provide you gear, set up camp, prepare and cater your meals, and accompany you on your tour. You'll have time to take as long as you want in the morning and to take a leisurely hike. We won't rush you, because we don't like to rush.
The name 'SacredPlay Nature Tours' honors the concept of the sacred clown. SacredPlay staff understands that it is our ability to laugh at our foibles and at our humanness that enables us to reverance life and stay close to our spirit within. We conduct the nature tours we offer as our way of reverancing nature, staying close to our inner selves, and taking a moment to laugh and play. SacredPlay Nature Tours provides high-quality hiking and camping expeditions which enable clients to relax, replenish their souls and their dreams and to come to know nature through feminine ways, while SacredPlay does the work.
SacredPlay's mission is to offer women opportunities in natural settings to reconnect with their selves, nature and the interconnectedness of the universe and to learn to hike and camp safely and responsibly, based on a feminine, yin-based approach to the environment.

Meteor shower tours provide an all-night party for watching shooting
stars explode across the clear desert night. Full moon tours begin with
a walk into the campsite under the brilliant luminescence of the moon’s
glow. And tours such as the Mothers’ Day of Rest and Holiday
Decompression tours include a massage therapist on location to ensure
that your vacation provides the rest you truly deserve. And, of course,
all tours include hammocks for those who choose to simply watch the
clouds roll by!
The women of SacredPlay have chosen secluded locations in the high desert of southeastern Arizona, because we have an ongoing love affair with the magic of the desert. We are mesmerized by the millions of stars sprawled across the desert sky at night and by the abundance of water that trickles through canyons shared with cacti and desert flora. Rarely do other travelers cross our paths.
Our locations are chosen to provide women a breathtaking locale to relax and hear the words of their inner selves; only moderate elevation gains are involved, but our tours do involve clambering over some large rocks along the path. Women need not be in athletic condition to register for our trips, but our tours do involve a moderate amount of hiking, 3-5 miles per day.
Our tours are located in the southeastern region of the Santa Rita Mountains, in the Coronado National Forest, south of Tucson. Temporal Canyon and Casa Blanca Canyon location are within six miles of the town of Patagonia and our Gardner Canyon location is within ten miles of Sonoita. Lodging and services are available in Patagonia and Nogales. Elevations range from 4,000-6,000 feet. Expected temperatures are generally ten-fifteen degrees cooler than Tucson.
