La Carignano A.O.C. Coteaux du Languedoc Cuvée Guy de Montjoie 1993Cultivated on the slopes of our hills, where schist soils and plenty of sun limit naturally the production of this 100% Grenache Noir to less than 50 hl/Ha, this wine is recolted manually and undergoes a long carbonic maceration of 8 days which confers upon it an aromatic intensity and a colour that is rather exceptional for this grape variety.
Its brilliant robe, carmine red getting slightly paler on the edges, is associated with a fine nose of morello cherry, dominated by a spicy note.
This warm wine, whose tears along the glass' side prepare you to find it ample and rich in your mouth, should be served at 16 to 180C along with Mediterranean food which helps reveal its fruity warmth.

La Carignano A.O.C. Coteaux du Languedoc Domaine Sainte Marthe 1993This Domaine bottled wine is made from two noble and recommended grape varieties: the Mourverde (30%), with its well built structure; and the Syrah (70%), with its fruity aromas and robe of purple reflections.
Both are treated separately by carbonic maceration and blended afterwards in the above proportions and allowed to age for six months prior to bottling. The wine is colorful, robust but well balanced, with powerful aromas of red fruits (cherry), chocolate, and a hint of spice (licorice).
This complex wine, long in your mouth, can be kept a long time. It is best appreciated at 180C with game dishes and cheese.

Coteaux du Languedoc La Carignano 1993This wine is gleaned from one noble (30% Syrah) and two locally recommended grape varieties (40% Carignan & 30% Grenache) which, after separate carbonic macerations, are blended to give a carmine red wine with purple-blue reflections; and, a powerful aroma of red fruits (blackcurrant) with a whisper of liquorice. It is ample and silky and will charm you with its fullness.
Its structure will enable it attain its summit after two to five years of aging but, all lovers of fruity and woody wines could drink it immediately. You will be captivated by its fruity taste, smoothness, and length in your mouth.
It has been cellared for at least six months to allow it to reach its balance and full harmony. This A.O.C. will delight you especially with red meats and cheese.
